Hi Ray,
I am nerding out on you! I am very interested in the subway system in NY. Here are some images of the City Hall Station when it was created in the early 1900’s.

This is the only subway station that had a curved platform. Trains don’t usually loop around. In fact they drive both directions. As you can in the modern map above of the northern end of the same train line (last stop of the north) the track ends at the last stop. The engineer then walks to the other end of the train and it then drives it opposite direction. As the train leaves the station going southbound on the northbound track, it crosses over to the southbound track as it exits the station (circled in red). This is what makes the City Hall station so unique.
Our new mayor and his wife on the right. On the left is Leticia James, our district attorney who swore him in. She has been in the news for being indicted by the Trump administration, which was viewed as retaliatory because she was the prosecuting DA for the case involving the Trump Foundation.
