Hi Ray
Hi Ray,
As I mentioned in the letter I carry my Pilot Elite with me every day to work. I was reading your letter on the bus when I had it on hand. I never see anyone talk about them, so I was pleasantly surprised that you have one, too. Doesn’t seem to be a pen that’s very popular these days- at least here in the US.
I have really enjoyed these pocket pens, and love them! This one above is a “soft” nib. I have another one with a “posting” nib, but it doesn’t compare to the softness and bounce of this one!
Recently I picked up a Platinum Short <B>, which is really nice! I have just had a hard time finding a converter that fits into it- the converters I have tried are too long. Been using cartridges to write with, but I am not totally in love the their brand ink.
This is my new Montblanc 146. It’s a great pen. I’m used to thinner pens, so I am trying to get used to a thick barrel. Based on print date on the manufacturer’s paperwork that came with the pen, it was made in ‘78.
I don’t know if I mentioned it to you, but I have been collecting silver pens. I don’t know what I like about them, but I’m obsessed. Here is a Pilot Silver Custom <M> that I’ve had for a while, and stated it all!
It’s so heavy and nice!
Here are some of the other .925 Sheaffers (2 Targa & Imperial). They are lovely.
Hope you’re doing well, and looking to hear what new things are going on with you!
Your friend,
Cliff
