Hi Tim
I didn’t mention it but wanted to share my writing box. Got it in the winter. When I saw it I fell in love. I was debating if I should purchase it or not, but decided to get it. Galen makes these in limited runs with specific woods. Turned out that I bought the very last one of this burl wood. I love it so much that I don’t use it the way I’d like to. I treat it like an heirloom!
Here are some of my pens I’ve been using lately. For the last several months I’ve been discovering new types of pens that I’d never thought I’d like much.
First are the Montblanc- specifically the 1960’s inlaid nib models. I just love them. They are juicy and have a great shape. I picked up a 146 Legrand, but the rest are cheaper models. Here are some in my box.
I’ve also been also really enjoying Pocket pens from the 1970’s. I have been carrying around a Pilot Elite “Soft” nib in my pocket to work everyday. It’s a great pen! Here is a picture of it:
Also been collecting Platinum pocket pens. The one above is a broad, which is basically a western medium nib. Waiting for another one to come to me from Japan with a soft nib. I’ll let you know how it is.
Most of all I have gotten this strange penchant for sterling silver after I got a silver Pilot Custom form the 1970’s last year. Here are a few Sheaffers below- one Targa with a huge stub nib!
Anyway, how you’re well and look forward to hearing back from you!
Your friend,
Cliff
